HCA, Sunrise Hospital New Patient Tower

Known as the busiest emergency department in Nevada (Currently 165,000 visits per year), the new 40,000 sf adult, Level 2 trauma ED will include 77 treatment bays including 2 triage; 22 conveyance bays; 34 general ED; 1 bariatric room; 1 isolation room; 4 trauma rooms; 7 behavioral rooms; and 7 imaging rooms including CT, ultrasound, EKG and general radiology. The new bed tower will include one level containing 36 ICU beds, 36 med-surg beds and 2 shell floors all incorporating extensive pre-fabricated components for exterior wall panels, headwalls, footwalls, sinks, charting areas and bathroom pods; increasing speed to market and creating a more efficient, consistent and standardized program. In order to accommodate this new tower’s needs, new generators, chillers, cooling towers will be added to the existing central plant.
