This 24-bed facility integrates evidence-based design with the latest advancements in clinical care delivery and energy efficiency; reducing light pollution, water use, and total energy consumption. The clinical design centers on a universal care center (UCC); an innovation which streamlines the patient experience, optimizes staffing and increases efficiency. The UCC is the patient hub in this boutique hospital which also acts as overflow in the peak hours for the emergency department as the unit is designed as a standard exam room to allow for clinical flexibility.
