Dignity Health, Mercy Hospital Southwest Tower Addition

This four-story patient tower addition for Mercy Hospital Southwest responds to the increasing needs of the growing community of Bakersfield and its surrounding neighborhoods. This addition will provide 48 med-surg/telemetry beds, 24 ICU, 18 NICU, 6 ORs, 16 imaging modalities, a new USP 797/800 pharmacy and new dietary/servery. A healing garden will provide an area for quiet, respite and reflection. Approximately 32,000 sf of existing space will be remodeled to create new surgery suites, and imaging.
