UHS, Quail Run Behavioral Health Facility

The 66,335 sf Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital is an adaptive re-use/tenant build-out of an existing four-story shelled office building into a new 102-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Challenges included providing impact resistant film on all exterior glazing and providing tamper proof and ligature proof fixtures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ground floor houses the main lobby, separate admitting areas for youth and adults, outpatient services with five group therapy rooms, administration, and a full commercial kitchen and cafeteria. The top three floors house patient care areas.
